Peninsula will take 4,660 square feet at the Skypark development close to Glasgow City Centre.
Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula, said today, "We already service over 11,000 Scottish businesses, so to open a new base in Glasgow is a no-brainer. This way we can better service businesses based there and offer them enhanced employment law and health & safety advice. It also means that we will have field consultants who are based in Glasgow that will be able to visit more businesses in some of the more remote areas of Scotland."
Done continues, "One of my group directors, Alan Price of Peninsula, will be responsible for the Scottish operation. We are very excited at recruiting locally; for us the advantage is that we can service our Scottish clients with skilled people who know the country, geography and people better than we may do, being based in Manchester."
Done concludes, "We will also be recruiting administration and telemarketing staff from the local region. As our Scottish operation grows I envisage we will employ more people over the coming 12 months, with the potential to employ over 70 people. I am proud of our track record of recruiting locally and potentially giving people from Glasgow and the surrounding area a chance."
