NEWTOWN, Pennsylvania, Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- EPAM Systems, Inc. (NYSE: EPAM), a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and software development services, today announced that it will partner with Positive, a premier cybersecurity consulting and research firm, on a research-driven Cybersecurity R&D Lab. The Lab will address the evolving need for advanced consulting capabilities in the fast-growing area of cybersecurity, and conduct much-needed research in the areas of security solutions and services, as well as establish a network of both internal and external experts.
As data breaches occur more frequently and the associated costs continue to rise, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly critical to every company in the world. To help its customers safeguard their data, the Cybersecurity R&D Lab, operating as part of EPAM's network of Garages, will contribute to global cybersecurity community research and complement EPAM's capabilities across a range of information security domains.
"We see our clients facing increased challenges in ensuring security and compliance across their enterprise landscapes. These challenges become especially pressing as the areas of Infrastructure, Cloud and Application Development converge into blended models of developing and delivering products and services," said Yuriy Goliyad, Head of Global Operations, EPAM. "By focusing our efforts in this urgent and diverse area, and opening up the research to partners, clients and leading experts in the field, we are creating a much more expansive and deep capability in cybersecurity."
"Cybercriminals can uncover vulnerabilities in all digital operations, from individual activities to conglomerates and critical infrastructure providers, and that's why cybersecurity is so important," said Andrew Bershadsky, CTO and Co-Founder, Positive. "We are pleased to partner with EPAM in this effort to help advance its cybersecurity capabilities and develop industry-leading solutions that will enable companies to optimize security."
The new Cybersecurity R&D Lab will be showcased at EPAM's global Software Engineering Conference (SEC) on September 22nd in Minsk, Belarus. Check it out here.
