ETX Capital Highlights Increase in Financial Spread Betting
WINDSOR, England, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
ETX Capital recently revealed that it has experienced a 35% growth in account openings in 2011 compared with 2010 as more people recognise the benefits of trading through CFDs and spread betting products.
The figures show that the age group most likely to engage in spread betting is 30 to 44 year olds. The biggest growth at ETX Capital has been seen in the 18-29 age groups. Industry wide trends show the people using spread betting are getting younger. This is particularly true for ETX Capital as 69% of its client base was under 44 years old in 2011 - compared with the industry average of 52%. This indicates that people are becoming more interested in the financial markets earlier; more media coverage of the markets has probably perpetuated this. ETX Capital has harnessed this hunger for information by providing free education by an independent trader training company.

Unsurprisingly men are more likely to engage with financial spread betting, although ETX Capital has a much higher female client base than the industry average. In 2011 87% of ETX Capital's accounts were opened by males compared to an industry average of 96%.
Andrew Edwards, CEO at ETX Capital, said: "We have seen a considerable rise in the number of people using financial spread betting as more people recognise the benefits of this type of trading. These range from the potential tax advantages it offers as well as the relatively small deposit requirement and flexible trading hours. We find that people opt for financial spread betting as it offers them access to a range of markets, such as forex, equities, and commodities all with only one account.
"ETX Capital has grown significantly over the past couple of years and we attribute this to our transparency and unparalleled customer service. ETX Capital has one of the highest customer retention and referral rates having been found Best Value for Money (results from Investment Trends July 2011 UK CFD and Financial Spread Betting Report, based on responses from approx. 13,000 investors.) We are continually developing ways to give our customers the best experience and increase their understanding of financial spread betting by offering free ongoing independent training, the creation of new Trade-through Charts and by creating a visible trading portfolio that ETX Capital's senior trader Manoj Ladwa is managing and clients have access to his trading screen and his blog updates."
Manoj's Ladwa visible trading portfolio enables clients to see what Manoj is trading.
