Exasol Appoints Benjamin Caller as New Chief Marketing Officer to Drive Global Growth
LONDON, November 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
Exasol, the provider of the world's fastest in-memory analytic database, has appointed Benjamin Caller as Chief Marketing Officer. Known as the company that is transforming how businesses are able to use data, Benjamin joins Exasol to help drive the company to its next phase of growth, leading global corporate and field marketing.
Benjamin's goal is to make sure Exasol - with its superior technology and a clear vision - gains the attention it deserves and is clearly identified as an emerging market leader. Among other priorities, he will be working to deliver growth across the globe, harness the passion of customers and to build out the partner network.
At only 41-years-old, Benjamin has already established himself in the technology marketing sector. He has held leadership positions at Qlik, VMware, Avaya, Net2S, Mediapps, Compaq, and Lotus and his career has spanned the entire marketing spectrum. He has significant experience in product marketing, demand generation, partner marketing and social media marketing as well as communications and brand marketing.
Prior to joining Exasol, he led International Partner marketing at Qlik where he supported the partner organisations to reach their revenue goals. Additionally, he created and drove the implementation of the Partner 4 Excellence framework (P4E: Profile, Enable, Engage, Excite, Evaluate).
Benjamin said, "My decision to join Exasol was down to a combination of factors: Exasol's leadership team has an incredible passion and with its superior technology it beats all its competitors on price and performance. I also attended Exasol's Xperience event and was blown away by the way our customers and partners speak of the technology: to them, Exasol is 'game changing'. Technology is about people and making their lives better. It is clear that Exasol is changing the way people relate to their work, enabling them to do a better job and even to spend more time with their families. One customer spoke about how it reduced the execution time for queries from 6 hours to 6 minutes."
Benjamin continued, "Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and blockchain are being used to transform business models across industries. Underpinning these technologies is data - data to make better decisions. To work with this data, businesses need it to be organised, they need fast access and insight. Many data strategies have ignored these requirements, leaving the business unprepared for the heightened competition and new business models derived from data. Exasol's analytic database and warehousing provide a simple but powerful route to achieving organised data and fast access, alongside low TCO and fast time to value."
Benjamin graduated from E.S.C.E Business School in Paris, with a specialisation in International Marketing, Logistics, and Mastering IT.
With the belief of hiring people whose passion drives the success of its company, CEO, Aaron Auld said, "Benjamin is a very talented and experienced marketer with a proven track record. His leadership approach, leading from the front, is impressive and I have no doubt that he will be instrumental in the next chapter of Exasol's growth."
