ExFAT File System Leader Tuxera Celebrates SDXC Adoption at MWC 2013

Over 50% of all smartphones and tablet manufacturers ship devices that can use SDXC and microSDXC memory cards. The number has exceeded 80% in technology-driven countries such as Japan and Korea.

SDXC, the latest SD memory card standard, allows for extending device storage with 64GB, 128GB and higher capacity flash memory cards up to 2TB, significantly improving what consumers can do with their devices. • Samsung announced Galaxy Note II phablet powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.2, with new quad-core Exynos processor and a micro SD slot with SDXC support.
• Pantech unveiled Vega no. 6 with the largest 1080p display announced to date, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and of course microSDXC support.
• Sony showcased Xperia smartphone and tablet Z, boasting Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and SDXC support.
• Asus formally presented FonePad, a 7-inch tablet with built-in phone functionality, powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot for expansion.
• Not to mention recently released Fujitsu ARROWS X, Panasonic ELUGA X, Sharp Aquos EX and NEC's Medias W, all with options for external SD memory card storage.
