Facilities Show and BIFM United FOR 2014 and beyond
LONDON, December 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
World's largest FM show receives exclusive endorsement from leading industry professional body
The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and the Facilities Show today signed a new partnership agreement. The agreement sees a continuation of an exclusive 15 year association, building and developing the world's leading facilities management exhibition, and seals an ongoing collaboration as the event moves into its next phase of growth at London ExCeL.
Gareth Tancred, Chief Executive Officer at BIFM, said:
"For us, this is the must attend show of the year. The mission of BIFM and the Facilities Show have always been closely aligned, to generate excellence across the facilities management profession. We have a shared passion for the industry, and the show acts as the main hub for FM professionals, specialist suppliers and senior executive visitors. We believe it bolsters our industry and by having it in London ExCel, we are rightly positioned at the heart of business and in an excellent location to attract international visitors. "
The Facilities Show, now in its 15th year, will be running from June 17-19. This is the first time the event will be held at its new home in the capital, and marks an exciting new chapter for the event as it continues its remarkable growth. It has become the world's largest FM show with over 400 exhibitors and in excess of 15,500 attendees. It hosts numerous education sessions, a key part of the collaboration between the two parties, which are heavily attended each year. For 2014, this will include the BIFM Networking Hub, panel debates, case study seminars and forums spread across the 3 days.
Fergus Bird, Group Event Manager at UBM Live, said:
"We are thrilled with this exclusive endorsement by our leading industry body. Facilities management has developed so rapidly over the past 15 years and truly is a 21st century industry. As a show, we aim to demonstrate the diversity and complexity of the sector and BIFM keeps us on the cutting edge. By moving the show to London, we feel it reflects the modern and increasingly cosmopolitan nature of facilities management. "
The flagship event will be held alongside the Safety and Health Expo, IFSEC International, FIREX International, Service Management Expo and the Energy & Environment Expo. This all combines to form UBM Live's Protection and Management Series which is expected to host 45,000 visitors from around the globe over the 3 days in June. The event is free to attend.
