LONDON, October 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
- Dominic Potter, former Director of Prologic, to head up UK operations, targeting fashion and apparel retailers & wholesalers -
Global fashion and apparel software specialist, Momentis, has appointed Dominic Potter as UK Managing Director to drive growth in the UK market. Potter will be responsible for developing and executing Momentis' go-to-market strategy in the UK for wholesale ERP and fashion PLM software, which will target fashion and apparel self-sourcing retailers, franchisees and wholesalers. Momentis is already working with a number of major retail brands in the UK including Oasis, Coast, Karen Millen, EWM, George at Asda and Lipsy.
Commenting on his appointment as UK MD of Momentis, Potter says, "I believe there are some great opportunities to improve business performance and profitability in the UK fashion and apparel software sector. The Momentis wholesale ERP and fashion PLM software solutions are one of the best-kept secrets in the UK market and I look forward to bringing the software to a wider audience of fashion and apparel businesses. Early adopters in the UK such as Oasis, Coast and Karen Millen have already seen how Momentis can streamline sourcing processes and improve supply chain management, helping them bring products to market quicker. More recently George at Asda has launched its international franchisee business with Momentis' software solution."
Potter continues, "Using a sophisticated software solution such as Momentis, fashion self-sourcing retailers can track both goods and associated costs from pre-production to distribution and they have immediate visibility of problems at any stage in the supply chain to enable immediate remediation to be undertaken. It is only by imposing this level of control that retailers have the chance to effectively and profitably manage the business, confidently delivering and controlling the product mix demanded in a challenging marketplace."
Prior to joining Momentis, Potter was Business Development Manager at BT Expedite & Fresca, where he was responsible for generating substantial volumes of new business over a two-year period. Before this, Potter was Operations Director at Prologic, with responsibility for managing a team of 40 people whilst also carrying a significant personal sales target. In addition to his role at Momentis, Potter is also a non-executive Director at Concrete Studios, a provider of eCommerce solutions to retailers such as Ted Baker, Harvie & Hudson and Jigsaw.
