FBI Investigator John David Kuchta to Speak at London eDiscovery Summit

John David Kuchta will join a panel of enforcers at the upcoming 9th Annual Information Governance & and eDiscovery Summit, taking in London May 13-15th. John is Asst Legal Attache at Legat London, and will provide a perspective on regulatory investigations including insights into recent high profile investigations.
John David Kuchta was appointed a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in April, 1991 and has served in the Bureau in Washington, D.C.; Tampa, Florida; Afghanistan and London, UK.
After graduating from the FBI Academy, Kuchta was assigned to the Washington D.C Field Office where he investigated gangs and major violent offenders. In November 1994, he was grievously injured in a gunfight with a violent gang member who was intent on killing officers employed with the D.C. Metropolitan Police and who took the lives of two fellow FBI Special Agents and a Washington D.C. Police Sergeant. Kuchta was awarded the FBI Medal of Valor, The FBI Star (law enforcement purple heart) and the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Heroism in recognition of his split second actions under fire.
In 1997, Kuchta returned to full FBI Special Agent duties accepting an assignment to the Bureau's Tampa Division. There, he primarily investigated cyber criminal matters, complex fraud and political corruption. In 1999, he was chosen as Southwest Florida's Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and, in 2004 he was awarded the U.S. Attorney's Office Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for the Middle District of Florida. In 2009-10, he was assigned to the FBI Legal Attaché, Bagram Airbase Afghanistan where he oversaw International Contract Corruption Fraud investigations. Kuchta mentored his Afghan partners in the successful prosecution in the nascent Afghan Court system of a corrupt police chief extorting contractors and conducting attacks on coalition forces.
Kuchta currently serves as the Assistant Legal Attaché for Criminal Investigations, United States Embassy, and London. He is primarily responsible for supervising complex white collar fraud and FCPA investigations. In his various roles within the FBI, Kuchta has spoken extensively at various international symposiums and has been interviewed and /or featured on various national media outlets including America's Most Wanted, The FOX News Network, USA Network, CNN, Discovery Channel and the Washington Post.
Kutcha will join Judges, regulators and Global corporate Heads of eDiscovery from organisations such as News Corp, Vodafone, Central Bank or Ireland, UBS, McAfee, Michelin, Royal Dutch Shell and many more on this year's incredible Summit faculty.
