Data scientists from analytic software company FICO (NYSE:FICO) will present the keynote and nine breakout presentations at the Credit Scoring and Credit Control XIV conference, August 26-28, 2015. The conference, organized by the Credit Research Center at University of Edinburgh Business School, is recognized as the world's premier conference for credit scoring and related topics, bridging the academic and professional divide. More than 400 attendees are expected from close to 40 countries, with some 100 papers being presented across the three days.

FICO's data scientists will present new analytic technologies in a wide range of areas, from credit and behavior scoring, optimization and link analysis to fraud modelling, cybersecurity analytics and transaction modelling. Two of the sessions, "Managing Customer Communications with Ultra-Large Scale Optimization" and "Developing Transaction Variable Libraries to Improve Existing Customer Management Decisions," will be co-presented with representatives from FICO client Lloyds Banking Group.
Dr. Andrew Jennings, FICO's chief analytics officer, will deliver one of the conference's keynote presentations, a case study on the analysis of alternative data sources to improve credit inclusion. "More than 50 million people in the US don't have traditional credit scores," Dr. Jennings said. "I will describe the innovative analytic approach we took to solving this problem and giving millions of people a better chance at good credit." Other keynote presenters include David Rule of the UK's Prudential Regulation Authority and Dr. Erik Heitfield of the Federal Reserve Board in the US.
