LONDON, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Landmark event in London is next week - 17, 18 & 19 June
Next week looks set to be an historic time for the energy & environment sector as the only exhibition dedicated to building services in London takes place. For more than two decades, ever since the Green movement started to gain traction worldwide, the commercial retrofit market has been ever elusive.
Being held at London ExCeL, Energy & Environment Expo is dedicated to making buildings work better. With many market-leading exhibitors, there will be plenty of opportunities to find new suppliers and product solutions. Key supplier areas include: energy management, heating, ventilation & cooling, metering & monitoring, lighting, building control systems and the topical area of indoor air quality.
Fergus Bird, Group Event Manager, UBM Live, said:
"It is significant that the event can hold its own in London amongst established business critical events on security, fire safety, facilities and safety & health. Sustainability has formerly been seen as a nice-to-have. However, regulatory changes and running costs associated with water, power and waste, now means it no longer sits on the fringes. Our event next week reflects the new status quo."
Top names exhibiting include Best Electrical, Remeha, UWatt, Bosch Thermotechnology, ebm-papst UK, Thamesgate Group, Pegler Yorkshire Group and National Grid metering. A number of products from the event have been awarded innovation status by the show organisers. The 'Innovation Trail' includes a unique LED GLS light bulb by Novah, district heating systems by Bosch and a power monitoring systems for data systems by Synapsys.
The free education is a definite highlight of the event. The Department of Energy & Climate Change will be running the DECC Renewable Heat Incentive Zone, which involves three days of sessions on the RHI initiative including general information, panel debates and how to apply for this new subsidy scheme. Speakers will be experts from DECC and OFGEM.
In addition, there will be three days of seminars in the Keynote Theatre including sessions on improving energy performance by Dr Kerry Mashford, National Energy Foundation and cost savings through energy management systems certification ISO 50001 by Terry Cole, SGS UK.
