LONDON and NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Exiger, the leader in the provision of technology-enabled regulatory, financial crime, risk and compliance solutions, today announces the appointment of Brett Hames as a Managing Director. A global authority on financial crime intelligence, Mr. Hames brings to Exiger over 15 years' experience in financial crime compliance, business intelligence and fraud risk advisory, previously serving in senior financial crime compliance roles at international financial institutions including Deutsche Bank. He is based in Exiger's London office.
"Brett has been at the center of financial crime intelligence and client risk, having founded business intelligence units for some of the world's largest financial institutions," said Richard Atkin, Managing Director. "He will apply this expertise, alongside Exiger's purpose-built disruptive technology, to change the way global financial institutions and corporations tackle their biggest and most expensive risk and compliance challenges. We are delighted that Brett has joined Exiger and look forward to seeing our clients benefit from his expertise."
In his most recent position as the global head of Deutsche Bank's Business and Client Intelligence Unit, Mr. Hames advised senior business heads on transactional and client risk matters while shaping enhanced due diligence frameworks and managing large-scale remediation programs.
"Despite increasing regulatory burdens, escalating compliance costs and more resources being devoted to financial crime compliance efforts, one need only look at recent headlines to see that financial institutions the world over are still falling short," Mr. Hames explains. "I am excited, with the help of Exiger's technology, to contribute to a more sustainable compliance environment for our clients, ensuring they meet their regulatory compliance obligations with confidence and in a way that is scalable for the future."
