Finesse Solutions Launches the G3Lite SmartController for Single-Use Bioreactor Systems

SANTA CLARA, California, March 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Finesse Solutions, Inc., Santa Clara, CA, a manufacturer of measurement and control solutions for life sciences process applications, announced the launch its new G3Lite™ SmartControllers for upstream cell culture and fermentation.  The G3Lite extends the G3 family with a standalone controller for single-use bioreactors ranging from 50L to 2,000L.  The G3Lite is an OEM product that can be adapted to most single-use bioreactors in the market.  The G3Lite is initially available for both Millipore CellReady and Thermo Scientific HyPerformaTK Single Use Bioreactors.  

The G3Lite controller leverages Finesse's SmartParts components in order to bring the benefits of industrial automation reliability and scalability in a very affordable package. The controller has a standard set of four peristaltic SmartPumps as well as SmartTransmitters for TruFluor or electrochemical sensors.  Up to six gases can be controlled using SmartMFCs in a compact gas manifold.  The G3Lite is compatible with both DeltaV™ and PC automation platforms.  It interfaces easily with Finesse TruBio™ software to deliver optimal bioprocess control.
