In October 2015, Microsoft reported that 29.1 percent of its workforce consisted of women but only 16.6 percent work in technical positions and just 23 percent hold leadership roles. These figures show that few women are influencing product development or business strategy.

In order to showcase successful women in technology, Generation Success put together a power series event on the 21st June Called Women in Technology, the event place at Twitter, 20 Air Street, W1B 5AN London and had a huge turnout many left leaving inspired and motivated. The guest speakers in attendance were women who have successfully established a career within technology and are excellent examples that despite limitations that women may face in our society we are still able to come out on top.

The guest speakers spoke about their unique experiences, the challenges they faced, how they overcame them and the achievements that they have accomplished. Each panel member also participated in an open-floor discussion, answering the audiences questions and giving their tips and advice. There was also the opportunity for direct conversation and peer-to-peer discussion, providing the 100 strong audiences with a unique chance to make new contacts and discover the views of some of the leading industry minds.
