Former VMware Global VP Dane Smith Joins Civic Resource Group International as President
LOS ANGELES, May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Civic Resource Group Int'l (CRGI) welcomes Dane Smith as President. Mr. Smith will be providing strategic leadership working with the CRGI Executive Team, Advisory Board, and community leaders to establish long-term goals and strategies for implementing Smart City campaigns internationally. Smith's responsibilities for growth strategy and business vision will support CRGI's global expansion as Mobile/Cloud/Data solutions provider for the public sector.
Smith will be responsible for formulating strategic multi-aspect sales plan of the Company's CivicConnect™ products-portfolio, expanding global sales channel ecosystem and introducing new sales/marketing programs along with evaluating their ROI.

Mr. Smith comes to CRGI as former VP of Global Sales and Marketing at On-Ramp Wireless. Smith was SVP Sales, Marketing and Business Development at ClearEdge Power. At VMware Smith was VP of Americas Sales and later the Global VP of Systems Integration and Outsourcing and was instrumental to VMware's 2007 record-setting IPO. At Sun Microsystems, he held the role of VP of Western Area Sales and Field Operations. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University.
