Fraport Achieves Further Recognition for its Sustainability Performance
FRANKFURT, Germany, September 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
Frankfurt Airport Company Continues to Be Listed on the Leading International Sustainability Indexes
The Fraport Group has been selected again - for the fifth consecutive year to be listed - on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World (DJSI World). This latest DJSI World listing becomes effective on September 19, 2011. One of the most important sustainability indexes, the DJSI World comprises the top 10 percent of the leading sustainability companies out of the largest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones Global Index.
Fraport has also retained its listing on the sustainability indexes of the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE4Good). At the beginning of 2011, the SAM Group - a leading asset manager for sustainability investments - and the accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers again included Fraport in the Sustainability Yearbook 2011. The Yearbook is regarded as one of the most informative and comprehensive publications on sustainability trends and performance of selected companies. Fraport was listed in the Sustainability Yearbook for the first time in 2008. This year, Fraport has been awarded silver class, the second highest sustainability status.
All these indexes only list companies that show exemplary corporate sustainability performance in terms of economic, ecological and social success factors. More details about Fraport AG's wide-ranging sustainability performance can be found on the company's website, including online and download versions of the latest Sustainability Report 2010, titled Connecting Sustainably.
