Fraport Traffic Figures - November 2013: Frankfurt Airport Records 3.5 Percent Jump in Both Passenger and Cargo Traffic

FRA/rap> Fraport AG's Frankfurt Airport (FRA) global hub served about 4.3 million passengers in November 2013 - a 3.5 percent jump compared to the same period last year. As a result, FRA achieved a new record with approximately 30,000 more passengers than during the previous top November in 2011. This confirms the continuing growth trend of recent months. For the 11 month January-to-November period, FRA's passenger volume rose by 0.7 percent year-on-year. Cargo throughput advanced by 3.5 percent year-on-year to 196,394 metric tons. FRA's accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) climbed slightly by 0.7 percent to 2.3 million metric tons. With 37,805 takeoffs and landings in November 2013, aircraft movements declined by 1.2 percent year-on-year.
Welcoming a total of about 6.7 million passengers in November 2013, the Fraport Group's majority-owned airports grew by 4.6 percent year-on-year. Peru's Lima Airport (LIM) recorded double-digit growth of 10.5 percent and received almost 1.2 million passengers in November 2013. Antalya Airport (AYT) on the Turkish Riviera had about 1.1 million passengers, a gain of 3.3 percent year-on-year. Fraport's two tourist gateways on the Bulgarian Black Sea together received 32,724 passengers in November 2013 (down 2.9 percent). With a total of about 97.5 million passengers, the Fraport Group had overall satisfying results for the January-to-November 2013 period.
