According to the Department of Homeland Security's proposed regulations concerning EB-5, the most significant change is the suggested "increase in the minimum investment amount from $500,000 to possibly $1,350,000 for investments in Targeted Employment Areas (TEAs), and from $1,000,000 to $1,800,000 for investments in areas of high employment".
