Fuze by Acision is World's First Rich Communication Client with WebRTC Integration
BARCELONA, Spain, Mobile World Congress, February 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Acision's OTT app provides messaging, sharing and beyond for superior user experience and new revenue generation opportunities
Acision, a global leader in mobile services, today announces the launch of Fuze, its new all-in-one, telco-friendly rich communication client for messaging, sharing and beyond. Fuze combines all of today's over-the-top (OTT) messaging capabilities such as chat, file sharing, video and VoIP, alongside integration with WebRTC, content channels and See-What-I-See, as well as a unique split screen user experience (UX) for media sharing and easy content drag & drop. Fuze is RCS compliant, so meets standards set by the GSMA, and includes SMS and MMS fall back, allowing users to interact with friends without Fuze or when a broadband data connection is unavailable.
As a white-label solution, Fuze by Acision is available for both iOS and Android, and can be customised and branded by operators and enterprises, whether that be for an operator's subscriber base or a brand's customers or employees. The application features and content can be configured a la carte and regionalised for language and iconography. The unique, multi-dimensional split-screen provides an optimised experience, allowing users to have two private chats simultaneously, or a concurrent chat and content viewing with instant sharing via a drag-and-drop option between screens - enabling true multi-tasking. In addition, a user can sign up to RSS feeds and their favourite media content channels and brands, providing monetisation opportunities through both sponsored and premium content offerings.
Fuze by Acision is complemented by Acision Fusion, which provides the backend cloud infrastructure and makes it the most comprehensive end-to-end communication solution on the market today. Acision Fusion supports features such as store and forward, fall back to SMS, message archiving and fall back to notifications. However, one of the key features of the Fuze and Fusion consolidation is integration to WebRTC, supporting contextual communications in real-time and providing massive cost savings for any business that requires peer-to-peer communication without the costly telecom infrastructure. What is also significant for the enterprise and developer community is that the Fuze SDK will also be available via the Acision Forge API platform, being launched in parallel with Fuze, meaning native app development and tailoring can be accelerated for iOS and Android operating systems.
Commenting on the launch of Fuze, Adolfo Hernandez, CEO at Acision, said: "With Fuze we're bringing the true meaning of 'anywhere, anytime' communication to reality by offering the richest user experience with fully integrated WebRTC. Back-ended with Acision Fusion, Fuze is a world first for the industry, as it incorporates all the functionality of OTT clients on the market today but with the added extras that end-users, operators and enterprises are looking for. "
"In the new age of the consumer, operators have suffered from a lack of agility when compared to other OTT providers, and have been looking for the answer that will enable them to launch a superior service which meets users' growing demands and helps them lead the rich communication charge. Fuze not only provides them with an opportunity to leverage their huge user base, but gives them the most advanced client solution, as well as a channel to communicate with customers and generate additional revenue in a very challenging industry environment," concluded JF Sullivan, EVP Product Management and CMO, Acision.
