In 2012, Gazpromneft-Aero invested over 156 mln som to modernise Manas International Airport's existing fuel-servicing infrastructure: new fuel tankers have been acquired, the process pipeline has been completely rebuilt and state-of-the-art fuelling stations have been procured, assembled and put into operation. In addition, the company put international management standards into practice, to ensure stringent financial reporting controls and promote tax deductions transparency.
In late 2012, the Manas International Airport fuel-servicing facility (FSF) was subject to an audit by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Following the inspection results, the FSF was awarded the highest possible status of jet fuel quality, providing aircraft refuelling to the leading air carriers without any restrictions.
Gazpromneft-Aero General Director Vladimir Egorov stated that: "We have already established a successful working practice with Turkish Airlines at Novosibirsk's Tolmachevo airport. Extending our co-operation with this airline in Bishkek opens a new stage in our developing partnership, as the air transportation market in Central Asia, and in Kyrgyzstan in particular, is rapidly expanding. Gazpromneft-Aero's strategy envisages increasing business in the Siberian and Central Asian airports, where the Trans-Siberian and Trans-Asian air corridors are concentrated. Direct supplies from the Gazprom N Omsk refinery enable us to offer air carriers optimal pricing conditions and to guarantee that the fuel volumes required are available."
