Group Vice President of Purchasing for Johnson Controls Automotive Experience receives Rising Star Award from Automotive News Europe
BURSCHEID, Germany, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Terry C. Nadeau, group vice president of Purchasing for Johnson Controls Automotive Experience, a global leader in automotive interiors and electronics, has been awarded the Rising Star Award from the trade publication Automotive News Europe. Nadeau was honored in the Purchasing category.
Automotive News Europe awards the prize annually to pan-European automotive industry executives who drive change and innovation, make courageous decisions and have the potential to rise to the top of the automotive industry in a few years.
"I am delighted with the Rising Star Award, it is an honor to be recognized by Automotive News Europe," Nadeau said. "Although this is an individual award, it is a reflection of the accomplishments of our global purchasing team."
Nadeau impressed the jury by implementing a consistent supplier management process, precisely planning cooperation with suppliers and developing a comprehensive risk management strategy for purchasing. In addition, Johnson Controls Purchasing and Engineering departments developed a process that enables suppliers to easily submit product and process innovations. These innovations have led to significant competitive advantages which played a key role in the jury's decision.
Selected from more than 150 nominees, 15 executives working for automakers and automotive suppliers received Rising Star Awards this year.
"These individuals stand out because they have achieved so much already, and we expect them to continue to rise within their organizations and within the industry in the years to come," Automotive News Europe Publisher and Editorial Director Jason Stein said.
