SHEFFIELD, England, April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- John Higgins has been made the 4/5 favourite with the sponsors to win his mouthwatering Betfred.com World Snooker Championship quarter-final against Ronnie O'Sullivan.
The tasty last-eight clash was set up when O'Sullivan resisted a fightback by Shaun Murphy to win their second-round match 13-10, and 'The Rocket' is Evens to knock out Higgins.
Betfred spokesman Jon Wilde said: "Many people would say this should be the final and snooker fans will be in for a treat over the next two days. We just favour Higgins because O'Sullivan's form was inconsistent against Murphy and he surely won't get away with that a second time."
In the outright market, Mark Selby is the 11/4 favourite after he completed a 13-4 victory over Stephen Hendry and the world No 3 now faces Ding Junhui, a 13/2 chance for the title.
O'Sullivan and Higgins are both 4/1 to win the tournament for a fourth time, with Mark Williams at 5/1 ahead of his quarter-final against Mark Allen, the 16/1 outsider.
Judd Trump has been pushed out to 10/1 (from 15/2) and he plays 2006 champion and two-time runner-up Graeme Dott, a 12/1 shot to lift the trophy on May 2.
