Hikma Takes its Corporate Reporting to the Next Level With CRedit360 Sustainability Software
AMMAN, Jordan, November 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Jordan's leading pharmaceutical company, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, invested in CRedit360's award-winning sustainability software to improve the quality of its corporate responsibility (CR) reporting and ultimately its sustainability performance. Hikma will use the system to streamline its global data collection process, gathering a wide range of detailed social and environmental data from multiple production sites in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
"Implementing the CRedit360 system will help us to enhance our sustainability performance across the board," explains Ms. Hana Ramadan, VP of Corporate Communication at Hikma. "Gaining higher quality data from our factories is a vital stepping stone to analysing our social and environmental footprint in greater depth and forming our future sustainability plans. We opted for CRedit360 due to the company's GRI and CDP accreditations, its reputation in the marketplace and extensive corporate client base, as well as the advanced functionality of the system."
Some fifty Hikma employees, including regional 'CR champions', will report information via the system on a quarterly basis, with data collection overseen by a central team. Data will be collected in line with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) reporting requirements and will encompass energy and water use, waste, labour practices and carbon metrics. Collected data will also facilitate other reporting guidelines currently in place, such as the UN Global Compact Report and Hikma will easily be able to expand the scope of its reporting standards. Moreover, regional teams will be able to complete ad hoc reports and measure the success of specific CR initiatives.
"Improving visibility of data is crucial to organisations such as Hikma with production sites in many different regions," says Mark Shields, Managing Director, CRedit360. "Our flexible, web-based solution will allow Hikma to gather consistent data from all its reporting regions and build a clear view of trends and hotspots. With all data stored centrally, analysing this important information will now be more straightforward, meaning Hikma's CR team will have more time available to tackle its sustainability performance challenges."
Hikma Pharmaceuticals is one of thirty new clients won by CRedit360 in the past 12 months and joins leading manufacturing organisations already using the solution, including Philips, HEINEKEN and IMI. Founded in 2002, CRedit360 is an established, financially independent software company which has specialised in sustainability & EHS from the start. The company is regularly recognised as a market-leading provider of sustainability software, most recently via the Verdantix 2013 Green Quadrant Sustainability Management Software Report.
