Leading Chinese company looks to United States and other Western countries for leaders of the future through its International Talent Program (ITP)
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ – HNA Group, a global Fortune 500 company focused on tourism, logistics, and financial services, today announced it had completed the United States leg of its International Talent Program (ITP) Global Recruitment Drive. The HNA International Talent Program recruitment team have been touring the United States for the last two months, having visited Harvard, MIT, Cornell, Columbia, Chicago, Stanford and many more schools. The US tour was subsequent to a series of extensive outreach sessions held at top universities across the UK, Australia, Mainland China and Hong Kong this year.
The International Talent Program (ITP) was initiated to help HNA Group attract young graduates and professionals who possess an international outlook and high potential. The strategy of actively going abroad to find top talent helps HNA, a company which has grown at an astonishing pace in recent years, adapt to the many new markets in which it operates. Initiatives such are this are part of a worldwide trend, with Chinese companies increasingly seeing the value and necessity of bringing in employees from different cultures to help their businesses prosper overseas.
The ITP offers graduates impressive opportunities for personal and professional development. The program puts the young professionals into a rigorous training program on rotation, through which they can experience different divisions within HNA Group, gaining professionally accredited qualifications and receiving guidance through a structured mentorship program.
Jared Mazzanti, a US national who joined HNA through the ITP initiative and is currently on rotation in HNA Group's Human Resource Department, said: "Everyone has their own set of personal and professional goals, and ITP can help you achieve those goals. HNA will provide you with new and exciting challenges that you have probably never imagined, and you should be prepared to consider the opportunities that arise. Moreover, working in HNA's offices in China will expose you to new situations you would be unlikely to see in your home country, giving you the tools to think outside of the box and approach problems in new ways."
With the rise of China as an economic power, more and more students from the West are starting to see the value of starting their careers in the East. The ITP at HNA is the perfect opportunity for them to gain world class experience in a fast-paced environment at a rapidly growing global Chinese company.
The global tour will continue with a session at Cambridge in the UK on October 20th, and the drive will conclude with further sessions in Singapore (NUS 10/23, Nanyang Technology 10/25) and Taiwan (NTU 10/27).
