HS-UK Octopus 900 Perimetry Training Day to Feature Expert Speaker Professor Fiona Rowe

Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK) is excited to host its next Perimetry Training Day on 16th October 2018. The course will feature expert speaker Professor Fiona Rowe and will be held at the HS-UK Training Facility in Harlow, Essex.

Professor Fiona Rowe is a Professor in Orthoptics and Health Services Research at the University of Liverpool, and a recent NIHR Research Fellow. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed papers and text books and is the Associate-Editor-In-Chief for the journal 'Strabismus', Editor for Current Eye Research, Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group Editor and a mentor for the National Institute of Health Research clinical academic research pathway.
As a clinical practitioner, researcher and educator, Fiona has actively investigated and interpreted visual fields from all aspects of ocular pathology over the last 15 years. Professor Rowe is a key opinion leader in the field of kinetic visual field analysis and is a leading expert on the Octopus perimeter.

The Perimetry Training Day will include lectures from Fiona on topics such as; 'Visual pathway anatomy', 'Artifacts of visual field defects' and 'Cluster, polar and trend analysis'. The course will also include practical, hands-on workshops which will support a range of subjects, including; test simulations, creating and running automated examinations and creating operating procedures and customised tests.
