Huawei Hosts Partner Summit 2016: Partner in New ICT
Huawei showcases success of its strong partner ecosystem, and opportunities within new ICT from across the Western European enterprise market
MADRID, June 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solution provider, has announced the attendance of over 400 delegates from its Western European enterprise market partner community at Partner Summit 2016, hosted from May 31st to June 1st in Madrid, Spain.
With Huawei committed to continuously developing partnerships which foster open ecosystem development and innovation, the sixth annual summit showcases the success of Huawei's partner ecosystem in achieving digital transformation across Europe. Under the theme of 'Partner in New ICT', highlights of the summit include details of Huawei's partner strategy in New ICT, as well as an introduction of upcoming Cloud Managed Network (CMN) solution. Key areas of focus include ICT as a service and joint-collaboration with partners in cloud-computing, the Internet-of-Things revolution, software-defined networking, and the application of big data.
A new ICT era is coming, as the way we use technology, such as cloud and edge computing, evolves from the optimization of business processes into a core part of production systems. As customer ICT needs have a constant drive towards being easier to use, more agile and more flexible, the catering of these needs requires full integration & customization, involvement of multiple disciplines and skills to build end-to-end solutions.
To enable end-users to maximize the use of new ICT, Huawei seeks to develop and maintain a positive, long term, win-win relationship with its partners. Building a strong, credible ecosystem is vital to how successfully organizations can seize the opportunities made possible by new ICT. The ecosystem will secure the functionality, availability and continuity of the solutions developed for our mutual customers.
As a result, since the start of Huawei's partner program in Western Europe in 2011, Huawei has invested heavily in its partner ecosystem, attracting over 1,000 certified partners to-date in the enterprise market. Most recently, in March this year, Huawei unveiled Munich Open Lab, a new European centre of excellence to foster and develop joint customer and partner-led business driven innovation.
"Partner Summit is a great opportunity to celebrate the joint achievements made with our partners and look forward to the opportunities in the future", commented Leon He, President, Huawei Western Europe Enterprise Business. "New ICT technologies are becoming a key part of the production systems of enterprises. In essence, 'New ICT' is a combination of a multitude of innovative technologies, including cloud computing, big data, SDN, IoT, mobility and security. New technologies are reshaping traditional industries and bring fresh opportunities to IT leaders. With continuous technological innovation, Huawei is committed to building a sustainable ecosystem in which all players can thrive and prosper, hence 'Leading New ICT.' Through leading new ICT, we would like to build a better connected world together with our partners, and with the whole ecosystem."
In addition, attendees to this year's Partner Summit have the opportunity to learn more about Huawei's plan for putting forward the CMN solution and will provide a test version for managed service providers (MSPs). The CMN solution enables cloud-based wireless and wired network planning and management for both SMBs and large enterprises with branch networks and edge computing through the Internet of Things (IoT). Huawei's CMN solution supports both public and on-premise private cloud management, and will be made available to enterprises through MSPs.
