Hult International Business School Recognized as One of Apple's 'Standout Schools'
- Hult continues its technology leadership helping educators achieve inspiring results in the classroom – and beyond.
BOSTON, September 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tech giant Apple has recently named Hult International Business School as one of the few schools embracing the latest technology to provide its students with a greatly enhanced learning experience. Apple says these 'Standout Schools' engage students in new and exciting ways, and connect them with the curriculum like never before.
In a webcast now available on Apple's website, Hult's Chief Information Officer, Yousuf Khan, explains how some of today's leading tech products have been integrated into the Hult learning experience. The most recognizable of these is the iPad, which Hult rolled out to more than 1,600 Master students and faculty members this year.
Since that deployment, iPads have been used to increase productivity, shape teaching styles and create a sense of community across all five of Hult's global campuses. The high-profile rollout has demonstrated that Hult is an innovative, forward-thinking place to learn, with the iPad at the heart of the curriculum.
By the end of this year, every student at Hult will own an iPad. This means that more than 2,000 business students will receive customized, on-campus training that is facilitated by Apple trainers. They will also benefit from access to integral productivity apps, easy-to-navigate digital textbooks, and an instant polling app, which provides real-time feedback on classroom activities. The newly created 'Hult Reader' app will provide digital versions of key student documents which were previously printed in bulk.
Hult has not just given students access to the iPad; faculty members are using it to improve their lectures, too. "We've really focused our energy on giving everyone access to the best technology," said Khan, who has been working closely with third-party developers to create Hult's latest apps. "It makes teaching more rewarding, and gives our students a real head start in the employment market."
Hult President, Dr. Stephen Hodges added: "The world has never been more connected, and investment in the latest technology is vital for any business school that wants its students to stay ahead of the curve. Our new status as a 'Standout School' recognizes that we are giving our students an experience beyond the confines of the traditional classroom."
