Hydroid Announces New Vice President of Engineering
Dr. Andrew K. Rogers brings years of experience as a strategic corporate leader in the technology field
POCASSET, Massachusetts, Oct. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hydroid Inc., a subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime and the leading manufacturer of marine robotics, today announced that Dr. Andrew K. Rogers has joined the company as vice president of engineering. Rogers is a strategic corporate leader with more than twenty-eight years of experience that spans a broad range of technologies and markets.
In his new role, Rogers will lead all engineering and program management activities at Hydroid including research & development (R&D), new product development, program planning and execution, and product support.
Rogers most recently served as the president of DRIVE Solutions, a consulting and independent advisory company supporting several leading companies within the automotive autonomy, robotics, private equity, aerospace and defense industries. Prior to founding DRIVE Solutions, Rogers was the president of QinetiQ North America. During his 19 years at QinetiQ (or with companies acquired by QinetiQ), he held a variety of corporate positions including executive vice president and general manager; senior vice president and group director, Technology Solutions; vice president and group director, Survivability; and director, Integrated Defense Solutions.

Rogers holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in applied marine physics from the University of Miami and a B.S. in physics from Siena College. He received an executive education from the Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School; the Sloan Business School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology. He also sits on the boards of Endeavor Robotics (former iRobot Defense and Security Group), Exyn Technologies and the Harvard Business School Association of Boston.
