IDBS Adds Advanced Chemistry Functionality to E-WorkBook 9.4
LONDON and BOSTON, January 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Latest release includes chemical drawing and representation for organometallic structures
IDBS has added key data visualization and data analysis capabilities to E-WorkBook 9.4. The new chemical drawing features enable users to capture a wider variety of molecular types and streamlines chemistry data input.
Users can also now define organometallic structures with simplicity and efficiency. In addition, a customizable chemical data lookup functionality speeds collaboration and data retrieval from external repositories, giving chemists efficient access to the vital existing experimental information they need to progress research.
The latest version supports direct addition of data to experiments at point-of-use, saving valuable time and avoiding duplication of work. Removing the need to copy and paste information across data libraries safeguards accuracy, reducing potential for error. Enhanced reaction stoichiometry workflows also offer increased data analysis capabilities in fewer clicks. The new release complements the strong chemistry functionalities already in the system such as the Parallel Synthesis tool, which supports the creation of virtual compound libraries without recording chemical reactions multiple times.
"The sheer volume of experimental data is one of the greatest challenges facing the industry today. Chemists need a platform which helps manage the deluge and importantly enables them to access and strategically use of all the information available to them. This advances research and development (R&D) and chemists can make decisions faster, without being slowed down by paper and technology limitations," said Scott Weiss, Director of Product Strategy at IDBS. "We're seeing significant interest from this sector and these enhancements reflect the flexibility of our solution to meet specific domain needs as well as moving beyond the typical ELN paper replacement tool."
E-WorkBook 9.4 also delivers enhanced PDF lifecycle and task flow capabilities which enable users to generate PDF content online and sign work digitally. The optimized task flow functionalities ensure efficient reporting and, importantly, IP protection, applicable across all domains. Combined with the 9.4 enhanced web client, these features deliver a functionality-rich, browser-based solution.
The E-WorkBook Suite is a single platform solution. It delivers a flexible suite of applications for data and sample management, analysis, reporting and IP retention. Suitable for small or large organizations, and with a proven track record of robust performance, it can be deployed quickly and is easy to use.
IDBS will be presenting the new 9.4 E-WorkBook Suite features in a webinar on January 16. For more details or to register visit: http://www.idbs.com/webinars/upcoming/introducing-e-workbook-9.4/
