Incentivated Helps Scottish Government Service Consumers by SMS
LONDON, August 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Leading mobile marketing and technology company, Incentivated is pleased to provide a "Find my Nearest" service for Scottish Government, helping women locate their local breast screening centre. A shortcode and keyword call to action, (text SCREEN and your postcode to 61611), is being included on Scottish Government advertising, online, and on leaflets. Those who text in will then receive a reply message, with the telephone number of the nearest screening centre, to make an appointment for a regular breast screening if they have missed one in the last three years.
The Scottish Breast Screening Programme splits the country into six regions (e.g. North Scotland, North West Scotland, etc.). Postcodes sent in via text are received by Incentivated's platform (iris) and cross-checked against the Scottish Government database. Each area has a unique reply message, which is sent to the mobile user, once their location has been determined. Iris also includes reporting software in real time, meaning that responses can be seen as they happen.
Gail Lyall, Senior Marketing Manager, Scottish Government: "Creating awareness of the importance of the role of breast screening is hugely important to ensure we keep increasing the numbers of women that detect breast cancer at the earliest stage. The audience we are targeting are hard to engage, so when we have their attention to act, it is imperative we make things as easy as possible for them. SMS allows us to provide a quicker customer journey from call to action to making that important appointment."
Jonathan Bass, Managing Director, Incentivated: "Our aim at Incentivated is to create the best customer experience possible, providing a service that is almost invisible because it is simple and works. Our SMS service has provided great benefit to previous Scottish Government campaigns, and we are thrilled to provide the same level of care and consideration to such an important cause."
Incentivated provides a wide range of SMS and other mobile services for Scottish Government. We have worked with the Scottish Children's Panel, providing a service that allows members of the public to text in for information on how to be part of a public hearing. Any adult can take part in these hearings, designed to determine the safety of a child within their home. Once they have texted in, they are contacted via our 'Auto Call-back' service to receive more information and to arrange which screening date they will attend. During the first four weeks the service was live 1,700 SMS requests were logged.
The Scottish Government also provides a text service for those who want to give up smoking; when customers text in, they enter what date they would like to quit. A reply message informs them of how many days are left until this date, and sends them daily tips via our quit calendar application.
We look forward to our future work together with Scottish Government within the mobile channel.
