Inge de Laat (1977) succeeds Gerard Endedijk. Endedijk remains associated with the firm - which was co-founded by him as a partner - and will dedicate himself again entirely to his work as a litigator. Inge de Laat said: "Ever since its foundation in 2013, Rutgers & Posch has acquired an important position in The Netherlands as a modern, inspired, and ambitious firm. I have had the privilege to contribute to the development of our firm and I am delighted that Gerard and the other partners are entrusting me the honor of leading Rutgers & Posch."
As Managing Partner, De Laat manages a team of eleven partners and about thirty-five employees. "Rutgers & Posch was founded five years ago with the ambition to be an independent firm that provides the very best legal services, but in a more personal manner. The fact that we won the title of Benelux Law Firm of the Year by the influential British magazine The Lawyer both in 2015 and 2017 proofs we hit the right spot. We have grown significantly since the very start in 2013 and have noted that besides our Dutch clients, more and more foreign parties are finding their way to our firm. We are delighted with this development, but I realize that a part of my new job as Managing Partner, besides the constant development of our firm and practice, is to be a guardian of the special character of Rutgers & Posch."
Inge de Laat publishes and teaches regularly and is an editor for the trade journal ArbeidsRecht. She also is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam bar association 'Orde van Advocaten', and officer of the Discrimination and Equality Committee of the International Bar Association. In addition, De Laat is a board-member of Stichting Amsterdams Kleinkunstfestival, an association responsible for amongst others organizing a performing arts festival.
About Rutgers & Posch
Rutgers & Posch was founded in 2013 by six partners. They wanted a firm which would be able to compete with traditional, international 'big law'-firms, while adding the personal attention and involvement of a boutique firm. Rutgers & Posch has grown fast since its foundation and is currently active with a team of over forty-five, operating from the historical center of Amsterdam. In the summer, Rutgers & Posch traditionally opens a branch office on the North Sea coast. In 2015 and 2017, the firm was awarded the title of Benelux Law Firm of the Year by the influential British magazine The Lawyer. Also see www.rutgersposch.com.
