Entrants are given free rein to include any features and elements they believe would benefit their school's laboratory and improve the classroom experience of students. The competition is open to students at secondary school including academy students, as well as independent school pupils aged 11-16, throughout England.
The students are given a blank canvas and tasked with maximising the efficiency and efficacy of their learning space - effectively utilising key features to improve teaching standards, lines of communication and the retention of information in line with relevant curriculums. There are no limits to any features the designs can incorporate, allowing students to be as ambitious or creative as they see fit.
Entries can be submitted in any format including computer generated visualisations, concept sketches or photo collages. Entries are restricted to one per school and a rationale is required - explaining the concepts and the purposes of the features.
All entries must be submitted by no later than 5pm Friday 27 February 2015 and be accompanied by a completed entry form. A full list of terms and conditions are available on Innova Design Solutions' competition page.
