During the events innovation experts from a range of industries discussed the challenges and opportunities of emerging ICT trends in big data, the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing.

Over 300 Chief Information Officers (CIO), business managers, and press members from nine Western European countries attended the Huawei Media Day, the CIO Forum and the Huawei Network Congress (HNC) on 29 to 30 October. Key discussions revolved around megatrends in mobile, social, cloud and big data, which are transforming the business and technology landscape.
The events also provided an opportunity to present Huawei's solutions, strategies and developments that will help address these challenges. Major announcements included details on the soon-to-be opened Huawei Enterprise ICT Solutions Open Lab in Munich, the newly launched OceanStor Flash Memory Strategy, and Huawei's commercial SDN-based enterprise network solution Agile Network 3.0.

Pre-launch of the Huawei Enterprise ICT Solutions Open Lab (Munich)
During Thursday's Media Day, participants were given a glimpse into one of Huawei's key tools for progressing cloud computing and IoT in Europe at the pre-launch of the Huawei Enterprise ICT Solutions Open Lab.
The new Open Lab will aim to strengthen collaboration with European customers, partners and independent software vendors to push joint technical developments, clearing the way for innovative ICT infrastructures such as smart cities and connected transport. It will make a key contribution to creating an ecosystem conducive to innovation together with customers and partners.
European launch of OceanStor Flash Strategy
The Media Day also provided the perfect opportunity for the European launch of Huawei's OceanStor flash strategy, which aims to widen the adoption of flash memory in data centres, while opening the door for customers to step into an all-flash era of high performance and total reliability. Based on the strategy, Huawei envisages a full-scale flash revolution, as it works with partners within the industry chain to innovate flash controllers, media chips and enterprise storage systems.
Agility to Imagination - Huawei's Agile Network 3.0
Huawei's Agile Network 3.0, which will be akey tool for CIOs intent on ensuring agility within their enterprise, emerged as a key focus of discussion during Friday's Huawei Network Congress (HNC) sessions.
Agile Network 3.0 is the innovation and extension of Huawei's Agile Network Solution, encompassing innovations of Cloud Fabric, Agile Campus, Agile WAN, and enterprise information security, as well as extending the Agile Network architecture to the IoT.
