Integreon Names Laurel Lichty to Head Compliance Services
LONDON, February 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Integreon, a leading global provider of outsourced legal, document, research, and business support, today announced the appointment of Laurel Lichty as Vice President, Compliance Services.
Lichty joins a team of leading legal process outsourcing (LPO) experts at Integreon who routinely advise major law firms and corporations on legal outsourcing solutions aimed at reducing both internal and external legal costs while improving operational efficiencies. Lichty will be responsible for leading the expansion and delivery of Integreon's compliance services within its fast growing LPO business.
Lichty is uniquely qualified for the role with more than a decade of experience in the legal and compliance fields, including as an international attorney with specialised experience in regulatory compliance management, anti-corruption programs, FCPA compliance, anti-money laundering training and ethics investigations. Her background includes three years as the Ethics and Compliance Manager for Smiths Group PLC, an energy and technology conglomerate with 22,000 employees worldwide, managing a compliance program operating in twelve languages across more than 50 countries.
"I am very pleased to add Laurel to our legal services management team and believe our corporate clients will benefit greatly from the knowledge and skills she brings to the company," said Brent Larlee, Global Head, Legal Services, Integreon. "Laurel's deep domain expertise and leadership will be invaluable in not only supporting our corporate clients but also key to driving continued growth of our compliance LPO business in the US, UK and Australia."
Lichty added, "I'm excited to join the team at Integreon and the legal process outsourcing movement. The global regulatory environment is continually changing. Tapping into legal expertise from around the world is not just smart business - it is increasingly vital to effective compliance programs and anti-corruption protection. Integreon's global, multi-lingual LPO delivery platform can help provide cost effective solutions to the complex challenges facing corporations in today's increasingly regulated and globalised economy."
As a recognised compliance subject matter expert and thought leader, in addition to heading the delivery of Integreon's Compliance services, Lichty will continue to engage with the international legal and compliance communities through published works and her participation in webinars, conferences, and professional associations. Through this involvement, she will facilitate industry dialog and the further development of standards and best practices around the use of LPO for effective management of corporate compliance programs.
Lichty joins Integreon from Fuse Corps where on behalf of the Governor of Delaware she implemented a number of strategic economic and educational initiatives involving public-private partnerships. She has previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Law for the University of London external program in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the International Law Institute in Washington, DC.
