COPENHAGEN, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ISS is ranked no. 2 on the newly released International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) Global Outsourcing 100 list. This reflects the company's continued mission to become the world's best outsourcing provider.
Published in Fortune Magazine, the 2011 ranking from IAOP marks the fourth consecutive year of improvement for ISS. In 2008 the company was ranked no. 31, in 2009 it moved up to seventh, last year it was ranked sixth and this year ISS has moved up 4 places to second spot. The only company to outrank ISS is the management consultancy company Accenture.
The Global Outsourcing 100 list is designed to help companies compare and select service providers using an objective methodology. Providers are ranked according to a rigorously judged application process that examines 18 criteria. The final rankings are based on a weighted average of the judges' scores of the company's demonstrated competencies, size, growth, management capabilities and customer references.
'The companies on The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors lists are proven market leaders and rising stars. They are the companies you would want to partner up with to achieve success and better outsourcing outcomes,' said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett, who also chairs the judges' panel.
Jeff Gravenhorst, CEO of ISS Group, said: 'ISS is extremely honoured by this very important recognition. The ranking reflects the hard work and dedication of our more than 520,000 employees around the world. Every day our employees provide a broad range of facility services helping our customers improve their business performance and create new business value'.
'The fact that we have improved our ranking for the fourth straight year from no. 31 to no. 2 is a clear sign that our strategy, "The ISS Way" is moving our company in the right direction. We will continue to focus on understanding our customers' business and intensifying our work globally with service excellence and best practice sharing,' concluded Gravenhorst.
