iTrinegy,Working with a Major Healthcare Provider, is Shortlisted in the Computer Weekly Awards for Enterprise Software 2014
CAMBRIDGE, England and RENO, Nevada, June 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
'NHS Recognized in Public Sector Category for Top European Award'
iTrinegy is pleased to announce that their customer NHS West and South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Commissioning Support Unit (WSYBCSU) is a finalist in the Computer Weekly European User Awards for Enterprise Software 2014 in the public sector category.
The Trust runs over an extensive network of GP surgeries and clinics serving a population of over 3.9 million people. WSYBCSU's Network Division's remit is to ensure good access to all services, regardless of network conditions, making sure that data is easily accessible to the right departments. Any performance degradation quickly generates user frustration and subsequent complaints which need to be resolved quickly and securely. The project involved the use of iTrinegy's technology to enable a fast resolution of application performance problems.
With a network of this size, there are many places where a fault might lie and the issue was how to identify and triage poor application performance quickly. Traditional Network Protocol Analyzers can be used for this purpose but the extremely high volumes of data generated by users of the various systems did not make them particularly suitable for rapid resolution of performance issues. In contrast, iTrinegy's Profiler was felt to be the most appropriate option as it was able to deliver the right blend of application performance and network utilization data to quickly pinpoint the true cause of their slow response times.
Frank Puranik, Product Director at iTrinegy "It was an interesting project working with the NHS and we were really pleased that they have been chosen as a finalist in this year's Computer Weekly European User Awards. This acknowledges the importance of delivering vital patient information to front line users in a timely manner and how the use of cutting edge application performance monitoring technology by our healthcare services is helping to meet that objective."
About the Awards: Computer Weekly European User Awards for Networking aims to recognise innovation in network design and implementation, use of mobile technology, and the use of networking and mobile applications to improve user businesses. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at Cloud World Forum, London on the 17th June. Bryan Glick, Computer Weekly's Editor-in-Chief, will present the winners with their trophies.
