Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the Premier Free Zone in the Middle East and Africa under the umbrella of Economic Zones World will be participating in Automechanika Frankfurt, the world's biggest trade fair for the automotive aftermarket.

A Seminar highlighting the advantage of using Jafza as a base of operations for the Middle East and North Africa, as well as a gateway to the world markets is also scheduled for Friday, September 19th on the sidelines of the exhibition. Participants will hear about the facilities and services Jafza has to offer, for the automotive aftermarket, as well as businesses in general. Participants will also learn about Dubai's unprecedented sea-land-air link, which allows the free movement of goods between Jebel Ali Free Zone, Jebel Ali Port, one of the busiest ports in the world, and Al Maktoum International Airport, which is designed to handle 12 million tonnes of freight, within a single customs bond.
Jafza officials including Tariq Bin Ghalaita, Vice President Sales for the Europe Region, Abdulaziz Redha, Assistant Manager Sales, and Mania Merrikhi, Project Manager, Marketing & Communications, will be at the Jafza stand at the exhibition in Hall 9.0 - Stand A51.
A Seminar is also planned for the September 19th, 2pm at Hall 9.1 Room "Genius", to highlight the Dubai and Jafza advantage for businesses looking to expand their global market reach.
During 2013, the total spend on auto parts trade in the Dubai was US$ 9.9 billion, and aftermarket sales are forecast to reach US$ 14.4 billion by 2016. The UAE is a leading market for global luxury vehicle sales, and almost 25 percent of the country's automotive industry is focused on re-export to secondary markets.
The automotive sector in Jafza generated trade worth over $4.2 billion in 2013. In the last ten years the number of companies in the sector has grown 7-fold. There are more than 7,300 of the world's finest companies operating out of Jafza. These companies cater to the entire Middle East region from their respective regional headquarters in the Free Zone.
Jafza, which had earlier taken part in Automechanika Shanghai 2013, is currently home to more than 500 automotive companies which includes global names such as Honda, Nissan, Ford, GM, Daimler & Chrysler, Caterpillar, Mobis, Schaeffler among others.
