The office will serve as JGO's regional hub, said Alan Weakley, JGO president and chief operating officer.
"Dubai's location makes it a great fit for our expanding work in the region," Weakley said. "We're constantly evaluating how to ensure rapid response to any client need, anywhere it's needed. Our Dubai office will be a great asset to our clients."
The Dubai regional hub will coordinate JGO's work for commercial clients and the U.S. and foreign governments. The office will be the administrative center for JGO's services: risk management and maritime consultancy; munitions response; demining; intelligence support; communications; life support; and others.
Two examples of JGO's commercial work are clearing areas selected in former conflict areas for oil exploration of landmines or unexploded ordnance and conducting risk management for companies in sensitive or potentially dangerous environments.
JGO is the world's largest demining company, in addition to its other services.
In addition to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, JGO has operations in North America and Europe.
JGO has more than 7,000 employees working in multiple countries. The company's website is www.JanusGo.com.
