Japan to Present the Most Advanced "Green" Technologies at EXPO 2017
ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
The largest international corporations will participate in the preparation of the Japanese pavilion for the EXPO 2017 exhibition with the theme "Future Energy" in Astana.
At the press conference "100 days before EXPO 2017", in Tokyo, Chairman and CEO of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hiroyuki Ishige said that the government of Japan aims to present the most advanced technological developments in the sphere of renewable energy in the capital of Kazakhstan.
Tomiyasu Nakamura, the Commissioner of the Japanese Section at EXPO 2017, presented the concept of the pavilion and the list of Japanese companies involved in its preparation, including Toyota Motor Corporation, Toshiba, Sumitomo Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, to the journalists.
The uniform for staff of the Japanese pavilion was also presented during the event. Its red colour symbolizes the sun, which is on the Japanese flag, and its energy. In addition, Japan has prepared an exclusive design of kimono sewn by the company Kimono Project especially for EXPO 2017. It is made in a traditional Japanese style and has elements of the flag of Kazakhstan with the logo of the exhibition.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Japan Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev, in turn, pointed out that the introduction of a visa-free regime for Japanese citizens should considerably increase tourist traffic between the countries.
Participants of the event also included representatives of a group of fans formed for promoting EXPO 2017 in Japan. Its members included Japanese celebrities: Tatsuo Kamon, a singer and songwriter, Denjiro Yonemura, a popular science producer, Utazo Katsura, a Rakugo (Japanese storytelling) performer, EXPO 2005 talismans, as well as Mika Mifune and Yoshizumi Ishihara who host educational TV shows.
