Morton, who is currently on assignment in New York reporting on the US drinks industry, will be taking up his new post on his return to the UK.

During his time as a reporter for just-drinks Morton has interviewed a number of high-profile industry figures, including Martell's CEO & chairman, Philippe Guettat, Heineken's Asia-Pacific president, Roland Pirmez, and Highland Spring Group CEO Les Montgomery.

Andy began his journalism career with Trinity Mirror's Sunday Mail in Glasgow before joining sister newspaper The Glaswegian. He has also worked for the Metro and the Daily Mail in the UK, as well as for a number of titles outside of the UK including the Taipei Times, Shanghai Daily and the Sydney Morning Herald.
The promotion follows the appointment of Lucy Britner as deputy editor, and the launch of just-drinks' new branding and website redesign last year.
