K2 blackpearl Awarded Product of the Year for Workflow and Business Process Management
LONDON, October 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --
K2 blackpearl software was named "Workflow/BPM Product of the Year" at the DM Awards, Sept. 29.
K2 blackpearl is used by companies all over the world for automating enterprise business processes, building SharePoint workflows, and integrating Microsoft solutions into SAP and other line-of-business systems.
The DM Awards are an initiative of Document Manager Magazine to reward outstanding products, suppliers and projects. Winners are chosen by a community of readers, visitors to http://www.dmawards.com and others with an interest in relevant technology fields. More than 16,000 votes were cast for the finalists, including products and ventures by OpenText, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, ReadSoft, Fujitsu and others. The "Workflow/BPM Product of the Year" category had 14 finalists.
"We are delighted to receive this award and are honored by the community's recognition of K2 blackpearl," said Dennis Parker, K2's vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "We would like to thank the many people who voted for us in a strong field of great products."
This is the third major award for K2 in the last year. The company won the Microsoft ISV of the Year award in South Africa, and K2 blackpearl was named best "SharePoint Development" product in the 2011 Best of Tech-Ed North America Awards.
Riding this momentum and striving to continue its record of innovation, Parker said, K2 last week unveiled its new SmartForms technology (http://www.k2.com) and announced a beta program that will be available soon for customers and partners.
SmartForms offers a browser-based designer for reusable electronic forms that can be used in web pages, web applications, workflows and SharePoint solutions.
K2 SmartForms can pull and push information from line-of-business systems - SharePoint, CRM, SAP and others - and they can be used in the cloud with applications like Office 365 and Salesforce.com.
K2 will be featured in Document Manager Magazine's upcoming winners supplement publication.
