Ketchum Named One of U.K.'s Best Places to Work for Ninth Consecutive Year
LONDON, May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Great Place to Work® Institute Recognises Ketchum London
For the ninth year in a row, leading global public relations agency Ketchum has been rated one of the best places to work in the U.K. by the Great Place to Work® Institute in its annual "Best Workplaces" list. The list, which was unveiled last week at a ceremony at the Westminster Park Plaza and published in a special report in The Guardian, ranked Ketchum No. 41 amongst the top medium-sized workplaces in the nation. The list was also published in The Sunday Telegraph on 17 May.
"This has been a huge team effort," said Denise Kaufmann, partner and CEO of Ketchum U.K. "I'm so pleased to lead a team where everyone plays their part in making our firm an enjoyable and inspirational place to be. We're building a company where no matter what level of seniority you are, you can have your say on where our firm's going, do great work, get recognised, and enjoy taking part in the creative process. As one of the biggest public relations agencies in the U.K., we always are keen to attract the best talent, so it's wonderful for our efforts to be recognised in this way."
Every year around the world, the Great Place to Work® Institute surveys and audits the cultures of around 6,000 organisations representing some 11 million employees. This provides unrivalled data and insights into HR and management trends and good people practices. As in previous years, the "Best Workplaces" list includes three separate categories for Small, Medium and Large organisations, which allows participants to be evaluated against organisations of a similar size that face similar challenges.
"The work of these organisations is impressive," said Tom O'Byrne, CEO of Great Place to Work® Institute. "They provide an example that others can look to, to see what kind of outstanding workplace is possible and how to get from Good to Great, regardless of size, industry or other circumstances. For example, the growth that many of these organisations are experiencing is tremendous, and they are paying close attention to their culture every step of the way. This focus on a strong cultural foundation provides a strong competitive advantage and helps pave the way for continued success as they serve their employees and their customers."
