SOESTERBURG, The Netherlands, November 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
On Thursday 11 December, His Majesty the King will open the National Military Museum at the former Soesterberg air base in the Netherlands.
The National Military Museum (NMM) is dedicated to showing the significance of the Netherlands armed forces to society in the past, present and future. There are numerous large objects such as tanks, aircraft, armoured vehicles and helicopters on display. The NMM takes visitors on a journey through the world of the armed forces and tells personal and gripping stories by soldiers, airmen and veterans. Six themed rooms demonstrate how the armed forces are interwoven with the world around us. The museum brings together the collections of the former Military Aviation Museum in Soesterberg and the Army Museum in Delft.
