Kyiv Welcomes First International ABC Ukraine & Partners Business Conference

On June 13-14, 2013, the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv will host the First International Annual Business Conference ABC: Ukraine & Partners. The aim of the event along with further development of dialogue between business leaders and the government is to unite their efforts in finding mutually acceptable ways of cooperation and overcoming the negative impact of the global economic crisis, reads the conference website. The ABC Conference will begin on June 13, with the panel discussion on doing business in Ukraine, improving conditions for business and investment. Given the participation of many Ukrainian officials (Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov, National Projects Head Vladyslav Kaskiv, Financial Minister Yuri Kolobov, and others), the discussions will focus closely on the role of the government in the improvement of business environment in the country.
During the first day the participants will also address the issues regarding investment in Ukrainian agriculture, high tech innovations, National Projects of Ukraine, international business, Ukraine-China relations, new quality demands on the pharmaceutical market, development of tourism and resorts, fuel and energy complex, and financial sector of Ukraine.
On June 14, the program of the conference includes three panel discussions, two round tables, a plenary session and the press conference. The participant will have to chance to discuss Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and the EU, infrastructure development and Ukraine's transit potential, prospects of Ukrainian business as to Customs Union, Eurobasket and Winter Olympics 2022, Ukraine-China relations, business partnership between Ukraine and the world.
Notably, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius, the President of the European Parliament (2002-2004) Pat Cox (Ireland), and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland (1997-2000) Leszek Balcerowicz have already confirmed their attendance.
