In Bulgarian 'Baba' means grandmother, to an institutionalized child Baba means hope, dignity and a chance to be loved. The Charity "Helping Handbags" founded by Melora Johnson, was started 3 years ago to help institutionalized children in Bulgaria. These children needed Love above all else. The idea that Colin Firth decided to support this event is simply beautiful. To date Helping Handbags has raised close to £80,000 and has received coverage in publications such as Grazia, Glamour, Marie Claire & Woman and Home.
As Chiara Soldati said during the party: "This is a night to remember how lucky we really are. The wines often seem to be like those who create them. For this reason this evening our Gavi dei Gavi black label, Sparkling Rugrè & Pinot Nero gives us the chance to express our heartfelt emotions by helping those less lucky than us. Being the mother of these passionate wines and a mother in life, I believe in this great challenge that Colin Firth supports and I share the goals of this organisation".
