Laing O'Rourke Appoints David Stewart in New Group Role
LONDON, May 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
David Stewart has been appointed as a senior executive in the Laing O'Rourke Group with immediate effect. David joins Laing O'Rourke following a 25-year career with Leighton Holdings Limited in Australia where he stepped down as Chief Executive Officer, last year.
Based at the Group's head office in Dartford, David will work with Roger Robinson, CEO of Laing O'Rourke's Europe Hub, across major projects in the UK and Canada.

A civil engineer by profession with experience of managing large international contracting operations throughout Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East in mining, power and transportation, David will further strengthen the Group's senior executive team at a time of global growth in the large infrastructure sectors.
David Stewart is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (formerly The Institution of Engineers, Australia) and holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering, both from the University of Sydney.
