Latest Opsview Release Brings Business Service Monitoring to Global User Base
READING, England, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Opsview, the leading unified services monitoring vendor, today announced Opsview 4.5, the latest release of it's award winning IT infrastructure monitoring software, bringing Business Service Monitoring ("BSM") to its global user base.
Business services, such as websites, finance systems and database servers play a vital role in the day-to-day running of all organizations. Legacy monitoring tools focus on the individual components within the IT infrastructure without linking them to the overall business service that is running on these components.
Opsview's Business Service Monitoring gives organizations a true view of business operations, enabling management teams to see the overall health of their services, as well as the components on which the service relies. This makes it easy for IT administrators to determine resiliency by specifying how many components need to fail before the overall service is considered to be impacted. This reduces unwanted alerts and improves System Administrators' ability to deal with problems that can impact business efficiency.
"BSM is a fantastic way to see what is happening to your organization's critical systems," commented Sam Marsh, Opsview Product Manager. "With complex IT infrastructures, there are many inter-related components that can affect the overall business service and it can be a struggle to identify what are the real issues. With Opsview BSM, we've provided a really easy way to configure your monitoring in a summarized view, giving a true picture of the availability of your business systems".
Opsview 4.5 also includes an updated reports module, which delivers a much improved reporting experience with a new interface and more options for customization. Also included is the ability to schedule auto-discovery and full-screen Opsview monitoring dashboards.
According to Ton Voon, Chief Architect at Opsview, "With the addition of Business Service Monitoring and further enhancements in Opsview 4.5, our customers will immediately see the great progress we've made in developing a world-class IT monitoring solution".
