- SABESP to deploy 193,000 additional water meters for improved accuracy and revenue generation -
LUTON, England and SAO PAULO, Oct. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Elster announced today that leading Brazilian utility, Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo (SABESP) has selected Elster to supply more than 193,000 single-jet water meters in Brazil over the next six months.

This follows SABESP's selection of Elster in May 2011 to supply 80,000 water meters to support their metering programmes to improve water management and conservation.

SABESP, the largest water utility in Latin America, has more than six million water meters installed. The new S120 single-jet water meters will provide accurate measurement of water consumption across its residential customer base.
