Lenovo (West China) Operation Center Ground-breaking Ceremony in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone

Lenovo (West China) Operation Center Ground-breaking ceremony will be held in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone on January 29, 2011. In terms of production, according to the agreement between Lenovo and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, this project, with designed annual production capacity of ten million PCs, will start production in late 2011. Regarding research and development, an R&D center that involves about 1,000 persons is to be gradually built here. At that time, this base will become one of the most important global R&D centers of Lenovo Mobile Internet. As for sales and operations, Lenovo will set up in Chengdu a commercial complex and regional settlement center which will cover the markets of western China, South Asia, and even Europe.
Qiao Song, Senior Vice President of Lenovo Group, stated that to accelerate the construction of the Lenovo (West China) Operation Center means a lot to carrying out Lenovo's global strategy and enhancing its leading status both at home and abroad.
