Life Change Consultant Closes in on 100 Cured Phobias

Almost 100 people have sought the help of a Staffordshire life change consultant for a cure to their phobias.

Mark O'Donoghue, of Stoke-on-Trent-based Purple Smarties, has had an influx of people handling various phobias, including a fear of flying, a fear of dogs, and even a fear of buttons! In all, he has helped 99 people since he set up his business in 2008.

Alongside this, more than 300 people have quit smoking through Mark's sessions - with a 92% success rate on his NHS Stop Smoking sessions compared to the 22% national average - and another dozen have lost weight with the help of his weight loss plan.

Mark believes more people are experiencing stress, partly due to the economic climate, and this is presenting itself in unusual ways.

He said: "Stress can have unusual effects on someone's psyche and they often become apparent in unexpected ways.

"That could explain why so many people are coming forward looking for help with phobias.

"Alongside that, there has been a lot of media attention on the effects of smoking and over-eating, which is why we're so busy.

"In all, turnover has increased by 300% in the first six months of the year, compared to the same period last year."

Mark is offering a free phobia removal to the 100^th person who contacts him and uses his help for a phobia.
