Three top submission publishers integrate with Veeva Vault Submissions
At the Drug Information Association's (DIA) 2013 annual meeting, Veeva Systems announced that three of the top regulatory information management companies will integrate their publishing tools with Veeva's Vault Submissions application. Vault Submissions manages the complete lifecycle of regulatory submissions content in the cloud. Now, with Vault Submissions for regulated content management integrated with publishing tools from LIQUENT, EXTEDO and Lorenz, life sciences companies can more easily manage, publish and submit drug applications to health authorities worldwide.

The global network of external partners in drug development today has dramatically increased the complexity of regulatory submissions. Sponsors struggle to collaborate with mission-critical partners when using traditional on-premise technologies. As an alternative, cloud-based Vault Submissions enables global access and easy collaboration for more efficient submission content production. Now, with integrations to leading publishers, life sciences companies have a more robust cloud option.
"Combining content management and publishing capabilities in the cloud offers a credible and innovative alternative to the architecture of the past 15 years," said Steve Gens, Managing Partner of Gens and Associates; a Life Science benchmark and consultancy. "This announcement is an important step towards next generation solutions and illustrates how vendors can create valuable partnerships across technologies."
Christian Bohrmann, EXTEDO's Vice President of Marketing and Alliances, said, "There is a clear trend in the life sciences industry toward using cloud-based solutions to manage regulated processes and content. With the integration of Vault Submissions and eCTDmanager, sponsors and local affiliates anywhere in the world can reliably access and publish the most current documents with each submission."
Vault Submissions is built on a modern multitenant cloud architecture for rapid innovation with no software upgrades. As a truly cloud-based solution, Veeva customers can more easily stay current with regulatory changes. And, Vault Submissions' real-time reporting gives companies visibility into submission readiness and missing documents to speed the submission process.
"Veeva is applying technologies that will shape the future of application delivery," said Raoul Lorenz, Chief Executive Officer, LORENZ Life Sciences Group. "LORENZ is investing resources to understand further collaboration opportunities, as well as the applicability of Veeva technologies to our customer base."
LIQUENT, with more than 200 biopharmaceutical and life sciences clients worldwide, is a leading provider of software and professional services that support the regulatory business processes of global life sciences companies. Rick Riegel, Corporate Vice President of LIQUENT, a PAREXEL company, concluded, "Together with Veeva, we're providing an end-to-end solution for managing and publishing regulatory submissions in the cloud. When done right, cloud computing creates a true competitive advantage."
Also announced at DIA 2013 today, Veeva launched its cloud-based Vault Investigator Portal.
